Northern Arizona University Ektron to WordPress Migration

Northern Arizona University Website Migration Overview

Northern Arizona University came to WordHerd to migrate over 250 department websites from their enterprise Ektron content management system to subsites of a single WordPress multisite install. Our team worked with NAU to map Ektron content to the appropriate WordPress custom fields. WordPress shortcodes were designed to be a 1:1 copy of existing content blocks. Our team also provided redirects as a part of the process to account for changing URLs and to maintain SEO equity.

The full list of requirements for the website migration included: custom shortcode mapping, page and media migration, Gravity Forms web form generation, conversion of all tables to TablePress, 301 redirect, SEO meta and SEO schema integration.
